Deborah Garth Interior Design International (Pty)Ltd (DGIDI) offers a  full turnkey service.  This full service entails working from the inception of conceptual ideas through to the final build or installation. The company handles both new building work as well as renovations and the re-design of existing spaces.

 

DGIDI  understands the complexities of projects and only uses the very best resources. With almost three decades of experience, the company has established excellent relationships with a variety of skilled and established partners.  The design company has a team of contractors, subcontractors, related industry professionals, suppliers and artisans and deploys these teams at various stages of the project.

 

DESIGN PROCESS

All projects begin with hand-drawn visualisations which are skilfully done by Deborah. These concepts are then handed over to the digital and CAD teams who create detailed drawings in REVIT. The next stage is the creation of realistic 3D renders which are produced in 3D Studio Max.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

A hands-on approach is vital to every successful project, and Deborah personally handles the project management. This ensures that projects run on time and according to budgets. Detailed schedules are produced for suppliers and service providers so that everyone involved understands the requirements and deliverables at every stage of the project.

 

With almost three decades of experience, the company has built up a prestigious list of clients. Working both locally and internationally, projects have been completed throughout South Africa, The UK and the rest of Africa.

 

Projects have been published in a broad spectrum of magazines including, Habitat, Garden and Home Johannesburger, Home/Tuis as well as London based publication, Abode 2 which is distributed throughSelfridges and Harrods. Deborah is also no stranger to TV as well as radio and often interviewed about her projects, industry trends and the future of interior design.

 

Giving back to the industry has always been a priority for Deborah, and she is well known to the tertiary education industry and often has students shadowing the business before graduating. She is also an active member of the IID (Institute of Interior Design Professionals of Africa) and served on the board for the past four years.

 

Innovation is at the heart of the business and Deborah has recently embarked on the creation of her signature custom-designed range of products which include:

Deborah has always had creativity in her blood and originally studied dance and specialised in the classics and contemporary. Deborah has her Honours Teachers Diploma in contemporary dance. 

 

As an authority within the industry, she is often invited to speak at design and business events. Deborah studied Speakers Coaching (TED talks) with Quality Life Learning and delivered her finals at the end of November 2016.

 

Deborah is a lover of the outdoors and adventure and is also a certified Open Water Diver.
